Webinar: Newcomer Integration into the Mining Sector (anglais seulement)

With a growing need for skilled workers across Canada’s mining sector, the industry will need to focus on attracting and engaging diverse talent to fill the sector’s demand for a strengthened workforce. Specifically, newcomers are often highly educated and have transferable skills that are beneficial to mining employers but may not be aware of the Canadian mining industry and related career opportunities available upon arrival to Canada.

This webinar aims to shed light on the potential for engaging newcomers to Canada to consider a career in mining. The session will explore factors influencing newcomer career choices, relevant government policies and supports, and the Mining Industry Human Resources Council’s tools to help support the integration of newcomers into the sector.
