Overview
The Canadian Mining Skills Development Strategy (CMSDS) ensures that Canada’s mining workforce has the skills needed to safely and effectively do the jobs we rely on them for. By establishing and maintaining standards for these skills and how workers are trained and recognized, the CMSDS helps the Canadian mining industry stay aligned.
CMSDS ensures workers gain, maintain and recognize their skills, aligns employer and educational institution mining training to the national standards and helps mining companies develop their workforce and future talent pool.
Through the CMSDS, we can see all the industry’s stakeholders and unite them to build a diverse, skilled and knowledgeable future for Canadian mining.
