Industry Partners on Mining Needs You Virtual Career Fair

OTTAWA – September 21, 2021 – The Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MiHR), the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) have partnered to host the national Mining Needs You Virtual Career Fair on November 8 and 9, 2021.

Endorsed by the Mining Association of Canada (MAC), the event will bring employers and educators from the Canadian minerals and metals sector together to connect with hundreds of job seekers from across the country.

“The Mining Needs You Virtual Career Fair enables Canadian exploration and mining companies to promote career opportunities, chat with qualified candidates and increase brand awareness,” said William Meyer, MiHR Director of Marketing and Communications. “Conversely, it’s an excellent opportunity for job seekers to explore an exciting career in the minerals and metals sector. At a time when employment in the sector is growing, with MiHR forecasting the potential need for the mining industry to hire up to 100,000 workers over the next decade, we are very pleased to be partnering with PDAC and CIM on this important event.”
