Media advisory: National Workforce Leadership Summit brings together workforce leaders from across Canada
OTTAWA, ON, Oct. 5, 2026 – Workforce leaders, employers, educators, policymakers and labour market experts from across Canada will gather in Ottawa for the inaugural National Workforce Leadership Summit, a national event focused on workforce resilience, skills development, artificial intelligence, labour mobility and the future of work.
Convened by the National Sectoral Workforce Development Councils, the summit comes as employers and governments respond to changing skill requirements, labour shortages, technological transformation and major economic investments across the country.
Participants representing sectors including manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, electricity, mining, tourism and biotechnology will discuss shared workforce challenges and identify opportunities for greater collaboration to strengthen Canada’s talent pipeline and support long-term economic growth.
